Crystal Fortune Dice

One of the things I discovered when I was running my Curiosity Shop a few years ago were gorgeous little crystal glass divination dice. These dice were sold in the 1930’s as a parlour game but were long forgotten, or so I thought. With a fascination for divination, these exquisite sparkling magical crystals became an obsession and I began collecting them, searching everywhere and buying all I could find. Most of the die, having lost their flimsy cardboard boxes many years ago, were lacking any means to show their beauty, so I sourced little organza bags, tiny little wooden display stands and beautiful antique and vintage jewellery boxes and caskets. I then used all the old 1930’s instructions I had acquired to make my own instruction booklet and also gave a little bit of the history of Czech glass and divination.

I weighed and measured each crystal die and most importantly named each one after stars, planets and constellations.

It comes as no surprise that I sold every single one.

With things going horribly wrong in my home life, I didn’t feel in the right place to carry on with another project selling these amazing objects. I did still sell the instructions sending them all over the world in physical and digital form until last year when I stopped the Curiosity Shop altogether. However, I still continued to collect them knowing that one day, I would feel in the right place to work with these fascinating objects once again. And that’s what I’m preparing at the moment.

Here are just a few examples of the previous batch which I shipped all over the world and to all sorts of people. I was thrilled to come into contact with many people who were just as enthralled as I was with these rare and beautiful objects.

I’m now in the process of preparing a new collection of crystal fortune dice to bring to you and this time I’m giving them some extra special treatment. The website will also have loads of information on how to use them, how to buy physical instructions and a bit of history for you to enjoy.
