The Beginning

The Penchanted Cottage and garden didn’t always look this way. When we first bought the cottage it was in quite a bad state and needed a lot doing to it, little did we know then but, that was just the beginning of huge problems and years of battling and work to get it right.

There’s much more to see about the cottage on our siuster website Curious Cottage where you can see the cootage and its transformation, but this website is all about the magic and charm of the cottage now.

Later, I’m going to share my antique and vintage items for you to purchase if you wish, including my most treasured collection of crystal fortune dice which I’ll tell you a bit more about in just a minute, but for now I’m just going to let you into my magical world.

Penchanted is my world. I suppose it began in lockdown where many wonderful ideas have been inspried by. At that time I was going through a very difficult period, the cottage was uninhabitable but I couldn’t keep away so i spent my time in the cabin at the bottom of the garden finding and selling wonderful curiosities and thinking about how it would all be when we were able to move back home. I found that tucked away alone there I began to think more about how life could be rather than how it actually was. I researched, collected, read, designed and studied a new way of being in this world. It took almost six yewars of being out of our home and another two to get just the downstairs and garden of the cottage in a reasonable state, After this amount of time in such a vulnerable and desperate situaltion, I was forced to look insode myself and with the help of my wonderful therapist I did get through it although there were a few occasions I thought I wouldn’t.

Penchanted is the result. My magical world of whimsy, charm and magical living and may family and I just love it.
